Mark DiGioia Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mark DiGioia, of Highland, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2022 in Fontana. He was only 68 years old. The family is deeply saddened and devastated by his sudden death. Mark lived in Rialto and Highland for most of his life. Mark earned his journeyman license in Refrigeration and Pipefitting. He was NATE certified and retired from San Bernardino County as an HVAC technician. He was well qualified in his profession. Mark was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and outdoorsman. His early passion was racing motocross. He loved CZ motorcycles and collected numerous trophies attesting to his skill and no fear attitude. Mark later earned factory pro rider status for Triumph Suzuki Motors in Pomona. His greatest joys were his Harley Davidson Heritage Softail and Ultra Classic bikes. Many amazing road trips with friends were had including Yosemite. A lover of nature and a frequent outdoorsman from an early age it took him to many places that ended up being very special to him and his loved ones including New Orleans, the High Sierras, Lake Mead, Utah, Yosemite and Yellowstone. He loved fishing from an early age as it was a family passion. Everyone who knew Mark knew how much he loved his family. He was full of life and adventure. He loved meeting new friends and sharing his stories. He was never at a loss for a good story and cared deeply about his friends. He was one of the most special people anyone could have asked for. We will all miss his humor and how much love he had for all of us. He was unforgettable and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were privileged to know and love him. Soon after his retirement in 2016, Mark was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis,(MG) a rare neuromuscular disease. He battled the disease like a true warrior full of courage and determination and did not succumb to the disease. Mark made it his personal mission to increase awareness of MG to lead to proper diagnosis, research to develop better treatments and support for the challenges that patients and families face. Mark is survived by Lynda “his angel” and the love of his life; sisters Donna,Diane, Debbie, Gayle and numerous nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces and friends. We will miss him more than words can say. Services will be held on July 11, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with reception immediately following: Desert Lawn Memorial Park 11251 Desert Lawn Drive Calimesa, CA 92320 In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in memory of Mark to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
