Diana Spillane

September 7, 1940 - November 5, 2011

Diana Ybarrola Spillane Lost her battle with cancer on November 5, 2011. She passed away at home in Redlands, CA, surrounded by her loved ones. Diana was born September 7th, 1940, in Artesia, CA, to Frank and Ethel Ybarrola. She grew up on the family ranch and went to Perris High School. In 1959, she married John E. Spillane Jr., and in 1979, he preceded her in death. She was employed for thirty-two years at Teledyne, Inc., in Redlands. She retired from Teledyne in 2003. She was a forty year resident of Redlands. Diana leaves behind her mother, Ethel Ybarrola; her daughters, Joan Paine, Margaret Glover and Kathleen Spillane; her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Mary Ellen Ybarrola; as well as grandchildren Sara Seaburg Gabbert, Melissa Seaburg, and great grandson, Robert Gabbert; as well as longtime friend Pauline Christy. Diana was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Diana enjoyed her children, family, friends, travel, music and art. She was known for her loving friendship, good nature and a laugh that will never be forgotten. She supported and encouraged all who knew her to pursue happiness and success in life. Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Calimesa CA, 11:00 AM, November 18th 2011, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon nearby.
